ΚΤΙΡΙΑ ΚΑΙ ΡΥΠΑΝΣΗ

Όπως είναι γνωστό τα κτίρια εκτός από από καταναλωτές μεγάλου ποσοστού ενέργειας, είναι και απελπιστικά ρυπογόνα. Αν και συγκριτικά με τις μεγάλες βιομηχνίες που είναι πρώτες στην εκπομπή ρύπων, συγκεκριμένα στην Ελλάδα που δεν έχουμε σχεδόν καθόλου βαριά βιομηχανία (ευτυχώς), τα κτίρια είναι μάλλον πρώτα.
Αν σκεφτούμε βέβαια πως εδώ που ζουμε, 6 μήνες ζέστη (χωρίς θέρμανση αλλά με κλιματιστικό), ότι το είχε προβλέψει ο ανώνυμας έλληνας αρχιτεχνίτης στην παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική, με τα κατάλληλα ανοίγματα, ποσανατολισμό, ημιυπαίθριους (όχι τους σημερινούς ανύπαρκτους που γίνονται για να κερδίζουν τετραγωνικά τα δωμάτια) και εμείς οι μοντέρνοι και οι ευρωπαίοι τον φτύσαμε και τον διαγράψαμε, καταλαβαίνουμε την βλακεία και την στενοκεφαλιά μας όταν τα βλέπουμε μπροστά τα μάτια μας μέσα στα ευρωπαικά βιβλία για βιοκλιματικό σχεδιασμό. Μάλλον ο Κωνσταντινίδης, όπως και τόσοι άλλοι διάσημοι και μη, έλληνες και μη αρχιτέκτονες, δεν ήταν τόσο χαζός όταν μελετούσε τις προσφυγικές παράγκες, έβαζε ημιπαιθρίους και έφτιαχνε φυσικά κλιματιστικά.
Οπότε πριν καταφύγουμε σε μια σύγχρονη βιβλιογραφία, μήπως θα έπρεπε να πάμε μια βόλτα σε κάποιο παραδοσιακό οικισμό; Ή να ξεσκονίσουμε τα σχέδια και τα βιβλία της αποτύπωσης και της ιστορίας της αρχιτεκτονικής;
Μπορεί να μην βρούμε τις αρχιτεκτονιές, τις σύγχρονες ντιζαινιές και τις γκλαμουράτες κατοικίες που αξίζουν χιλιάδες ευρώ για να κατασκευαστούν και να λειτουργήσουν, αποβάλοντες απίστευτες ποσότητες ρύπων για να θερμανθούν ή να ψυχθούν αντιστοίχως, αλλά σίγουρα θα βρούμε έξυπνους χειρισμούς για τον φυσικό αερισμό, κλιματισμό και εξυπνότερο σχεδιασμό.

Με σημερινή ανακοίνωση τους, το Pirate Bay, η πιο διάσημη ιστοσελίδα torrent tracker, εξαγοράστηκε από την Σουηδική εταιρεία λογισμικού Global Gaming Factory με το ποσό των 7.8 εκατομμυρίων δολαρίων.

Η κίνηση αυτή αναμένεται να οδηγήσει στη πλήρη αλλαγή του τρόπου λειτουργίας της ιστοσελίδας η οποία βρίσκεται μέσα στις 100 πρώτες σε κίνηση στο Διαδίκτυο. Εντύπωση προκαλούν οι δηλώσεις των ιδιοκτητών του Pirate Bay οι οποίες έρχονται σε αντίθεση με τη δήλωση του προέδρου της Global Gaming Factory.

Συγκεκριμένα το Pirate Bay αναφέρει ότι "αν οι νέοι ιδιοκτήτες επιλέξουν την αλλαγή πολιτικής στο site, τότε κανείς δε θα το χρησιμοποιήσει, Αυτή είναι η μεγαλύτερη διασφάλιση που μπορεί να έχει ο κόσμος ότι η ιστοσελίδα θα συνεχίσει τη λειτουργία της με τον τρόπο που όλοι θέλουμε. Ο οποιοσδήποτε μπορεί να είναι τώρα ο ιδιοκτήτης του Pirate Bay"

Ο νέος ιδιοκτήτης Hans Pandeya αναφέρει μεταξύ άλλων "Το Pirate Bay είναι ένα site μεταξύ των 100 πιο δημοφιλή στο Internet. Όμως για να συνεχίσει να λειτουρεί θα πρέπει να έχει ένα νέο επιχειρησιακό μοντέλο που να ικανοποιεί τις ανάγκες όλων των πλευρών. Οι δημιουργοί περιεχομένου και οι πάροχοι ευρυζωνικών συνδέσεων θα πρέπει να μπορούν να ελέγχουν το περιεχόμενο και να πληρώνονται γι'αυτό. Όσοι διαμοιράζουν αρχεία χρειάζονται γρήγορα downloads και καλύτερη ποιότητα"

Η εξαγορά του Pirate Bay έρχεται σε συνέχεια της καταδικαστικής απόφαση του περασμένου Απριλίου, σύμφωνα με την οποία οι ιδιοκτήτες του καλούνται πληρώσουν 3.6 εκατομμύρια δολάρια ως αποζημίωση για ζημιές που προκάλεσαν σε εταιρείες κινηματογράφου, μουσικής και ηλεκτρονικών παιχνιδιών. Μάλιστα σε δηλώσεις τους μετά την απόφαση, αρνήθηκαν να πληρώσουν το πρόστιμο δηλώνοντας ότι "ακόμα και αν είχαμε τα χρήματα, θα προτιμούσαμε να τα κάψουμε και να μην δώσουμε ούτε τις στάχτες". Η δήλωση αυτή είναι ένα ακόμα δείγμα της μη συμβατικής συμπεριφοράς που ακολούθησε το Pirate Bay σε όλα τα χρόνια λειτουργίας του αφού με εμπρηστικές δηλώσεις κατά καιρούς, απαξίωνε τις καταγγελίες που δεχόταν για καταπάτηση των πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων.

Τα κέρδη της εξαγοράς όπως δηλώνουν θα κατατεθούν σε ίδρυμα το οποίο θα βοηθήσει σχέδια για την ελευθερία λόγου, πληροφοριών και το "άνοιγμα" του Διαδικτύου. Oι ιδιοκτήτες του Pirate Bay ελπίζουν στη κατανόηση του κοινού ότι αυτή είναι η καλύτερη επιλογή για όλους καταλήγοντας με το κλασικό "Don't worry - be happy".
